The technology uses vortex air to create a convergence of one end of the fibres to create the core of the yarn and to induce the other ends to wrap around each other, forming the outer layer of the yarn," the company says, adding:

"Every individual fibre is twisted into the core of a yarn, and is sequentially covered with other fibres. Vortex yarns form a stable structure firmly retaining and fixing within the inner layer of a yarn. Vortex yarn is considered "the least hairy spun yarn" with a low possibility of exposing loose fibres exceeding 3mm in length on its surface. This characteristic provides excellent resistance to pilling and abrasion of garments."
