First-class materials, perfect workmanship and flawless quality – these three features characterize the priorities of Bühler’s Germany based customer, Taubert Textil. As a specialist in the development and production of dimension-stabilizing knit fabrics for lingerie, Taubert utilizes Bühler’s SwissCotton Compact yarns on their high speed tricot machines with extremely high tensions.

“During the production of knitted fabrics, we must be able to depend on yarns of consistent quality that are of the highest standards... SwissCotton Compact is primarily suitable due to its optimal wear resistance and low fibre fly. The very limited amount of foreign fibre produces a high-quality raw material,” says Josef Frank, Taubert Textil’s Division Manager of Fabrics.

Partnership based relationship

One of Taubert’s unique strengths is said to be the development of customer-specific garments for the corsetry industry, as Josef Frank explains:

“For our collections, we place just as much value on details as we do on selecting our suppliers, because what is of great importance during the development of new fabrics — besides creative engineering — is also a partnership-based supplier relationship. We appreciate the cooperation with Bühler, their reliability and adherence to delivery deadlines, the support in case of problems, the quick implementation of solutions and a stable or predictable price development.”

“ Moreover, in Bühler we see a serious and innovative partner, where the central focus is on a careful use of natural resources, a trustworthy procurement chain, and ongoing further development through investments in new machine technology.”

“All of this together provides a high level of service and product expertise, from which our customers can benefit as well. We strive to provide the buyer with excellent quality in the form of a trend-setting product with a perfect fit, attractive design, and the finest materials. What this means, is that anyone can feel it on their own skin,” Mr Frank concludes.

Crêpe yarns

Other news from Bühler is the development of a new range of crêpe yarns for both knitting and weaving.

“Recent tradeshows have shown us one thing — the market is asking for something new, exciting, and cooling. Crêpe is it. Crêpe are high-twist yarns with a uniquely cool, grainy touch. To feel knitted and woven fabrics made with Crêpe is not just an extraordinary experience — it’s pure pleasure,” Bühler says.

Bühler says it has developed Crêpe yarns to perfection, and they are already fulfilling the highest demands of well-known brands. The company’s delivery program includes yarns with counts from Ne 32/1 to Ne 80/1, offered in both Z and S twists.

Meanwhile, Buhler has announced some new appointments at the company. “We are pleased to provide additional industry knowledge and reliability through our newest team members.”

In September 2012, Oswald Baldischwieler began working at Bühler in Quality Assurance and Product Development. In early April, he took on the role of Technical Director, becoming the newest member of our management team. He replaces Hermann Povel, who recently left the company, for personal reasons. An expert in the textile value chain, Oswald Baldischwieler draws on many years of yarn production, further processing, and textile machinery experience.

Werner Hess will be retiring during the course of the 2014 calendar year. As his successor, Bühler has recruited Andreas Birsner for the role of Manager of Quality Assurance. Since completing his studies in textile technology, Mr. Birsner has obtained valuable experience in textile machinery and yarn production. Starting in May, he will begin an intensive training period with Bühler.
