Karl Mayer has revamped its MRES 33 EH multi bar raschel lace machine for the Chinese market.

According to the Karl Mayer faster, better, wider are performance features that guarantee the success of warp knitting machines in the Chinese market. This is why the company has decided to improve and revamp the MRES 33 EH multibar raschel machine, which is manufactured in China. The result has been a considerable improvement in productivity and performance and is called the ML 33 CD.

Like all mechanical lace machines, the new model, is controlled by a pattern chain. The working width has been increased from 132 inches to 198 inches and the machine offers a whole range of new and innovative features. In keeping with the design of the company’s latest generation of machines, the distance between the yarn guides of the pattern bars within a shog line has been reduced to two needles, electronic control systems for fabric take-down and yarn let-off have now been integrated, and an Operator Interface is located directly in the operative’s field of vision. By using a touch screen, functions such as displaying the residual running time of each beam, a four-shift counter, or fault recording and fault statistics can be accessed very easily. The existing aluminium profiled bars for the pattern guide bars have also been replaced by a new pattern bar system.

The productivity has been increased considerably by specifically re-engineering the machine to increase its speed from 350 min-1 to 500 min-1, together with the new working width of 198".

The quality has also been improved considerably by improving a number of specific features. The picot edge systems are equipped for stitch-formation by means of an overlapping device to produce high-quality edges to the lace tapes. Ground guide bar GB 1 can also be shogged by one needle to produce a run-resistant construction, thus preventing the tape from unravelling during subsequent processing. Information for placing the shog in the desired repeat is input at the Operator Interface. The process is carried out by an electro-mechanical system.

According to Karl Mayer, with its increased flexibility, this multibar machine, which is made in China for the Chinese market, can manufacture lace that is even more attractive and elegant for producing tops, briefs, bras, underwear, outerwear, festive wear and casual wear, and has become a must-have for lace producers.
