“The very definition of dynamism, Interfilière Paris creates a veritable movement, with an eclectic and exhaustive product range for brands, designers, stylists and retailers seeking inspiration, know-how and supplies for future collections,” Eurovet enthuses, continuing:

“Wellbeing: an increasingly sure value...

Tomorrow’s fabrics continue to boast new functionalities, enhancing their aesthetics and wellbeing, since they are light, soft, comfortable, follow the contours of the body like a second skin, accompany movement, flatter the figure and facilitate muscle performance during sport…

Following on from cosmetic textiles (Symposium in July 2012), Interfilière Paris, in collaboration with the Fédération de la Maille et de la Lingerie, is pursuing its reflection and taking stock of this trend. A dedicated area will showcase fabrics and finished products representing the intimates, beachwear, sport, health and technical textile sectors in order to answer a single question - “Which fabric for which benefit?” by placing our exhibitors’ innovations in the spotlight. A conference is scheduled at 11.30am on Monday 8 July with an accompanying handout.

Beachwear Designer of the Year

For the first time, Interfilière Paris will nominate a Designer of the Year within the framework of Paris, Capitale de la Création, for achievements in the beachwear fabrics sector.

The French company European Stretch Fabrics, a subsidiary of the Payen Group, has been selected. ESF proposes innovative textile products with a wide range of stretch wovens, a technique that Interfilière Paris wishes to highlight through this nomination. ESF has dressed a number of Olympic athletes at the Seoul Olympics in 1988, as well as the Atlanta Games in 1996, Athens in 2004 and Beijing in 2008. In 1999, European Stretch Fabrics created the world’s finest fabric. ESF uses the following brands: Aquatech® (fabrics designed for sport and satisfying the requirements of high-level competitive sports) and Mad About Skin® (stretch fabrics for intimates and beachwear).

A comprehensive offer

A must-see event for all the major players in the industry (collection managers, fabric buyers, stylists, designers, trend forecasting agencies, etc.), Interfilière Paris is the key date in the season for stocking up on ideas and new trends, discovering developments and innovations driven by our exhibitors, whose creativity and expertise serve as a benchmark.

An expected 300 exhibitors, travelling from 25 different countries will be divided into 7 sections:

  • LACE IT: lace
  • BROD’CUST: embroidery
  • ACCESS’ FOLIES: hooks-and-eyes, fastenings, elastic, bias binding, buttons, bracups, woven labels, braids, trim, beads, ribbons, sequins, diamanté, packaging…
  • NEOSKIN: knits, wovens, prints, embellishment, pleating, transfers…
  • HI’TECH: fibres, yarns and machines
  • CREATIVE LAB: a laidback village-style space which showcases trend forecasting agencies and textile designers. With freedom of expression for creativity and innovation, exhibitors offer buyers a host of new inspiration.
  • SOURCING BY INTERFILIERE PARIS: created in January 2012, this area has earned a loyal following of buyers interested in proximity-based sourcing in the EUROMED region.

The list of new exhibitors includes: Brodissima, Oskar Hämmerle (Austria) in Brod'cust; Elinal (Greece), Pisa tekstil (Turkey), Ricamofil (Italy) in Neoskin; Arya polimer (Turkey) and Madeira Garnfabrik (Germany) in Hi'tech…

Fashion and Trends: Inviting luxury to the party...

Interfilière Paris is a hotbed of discovery in terms of fashion and innovation.

Making sense of an increasingly vast and varied international fashion range can be a difficult task. This explains the enduring popularity of the forums, demonstrating their value, with each new season, as an effective tool and source of expertise.

Thee July 2013 session will feature the two forums that visitors have now come to expect: the General Forum featuring intimates and the Beachwear Forum.

The General Forum: “Happy Is Chic”

Small and delicate, graceful details, pretty things … in a word – beauty – today’s most widely-shared aspiration. Rather than a desire to showcase the everyday, this is a desire to make the everyday synonymous with pleasure.

The four themes for Winter 14/15 (Silence, Oxidised, Sumptuous and Playful) will be presented in a festive atmosphere. With the Fellini style feel of a travelling fairground, where surprises and attractions vie for attention in a Chic Circus décor: caravans and lanterns serve as a backdrop to the palm-reader, wheel of fortune and a host of tasty treats…Swarovski Elements, a glamorous partner...This season, the general forum will be playing host to Swarovski Elements which is taking part in the creation and development of lingerie prototypes.

Designed for an upscale market, they offer a seductive and fun vision of lingerie. Luxurious fabrics in pastel shades, wonderfully delicate Leavers lace and embroidery with a liberal sprinkling of sparkly details and crystals! A creative, quirky and glamorous project…

The Beachwear Forum

Featuring a fabulous selection of beachwear fabrics. A family-oriented, seaside atmosphere will be created to showcase beach and swimwear fabrics.

And As Always...

The Conferences

Trend forecasting agencies will present a daily overview of trends identified. As is the case each session, a preview conference for the Summer 2015 season will be led by Jos Berry, director of the Concepts Paris trend forecasting agency, by invitation only, for those exhibiting at the January 2014 edition of Interfilière Paris, a number of VIP buyers and the press.

The sixth photography competition, reserved for exhibitors, will explore the theme of wellbeing.

New: for the first time this session, votes will be cast online at www.interfiliere.com.”
