Chargeurs PCC, the global leader in interlinings and apparel components, is taking part in the 42nd edition of Milano Unica, one of Europe’s foremost fashion fabric exhibitions. Against a backdrop of tightening regulations and rising sustainability expectations from major fashion brands, the France-based industrial group is reaffirming its commitment to offering the European market responsible, compliant and high-performance solutions.
Central to this strategy is Lainière de Picardie, Chargeurs PCC’s historic production site founded in 1903 and located in Péronne, northern France. As a fully integrated knitting and coating facility, the site maintains direct control over key transformation stages, ensuring high levels of traceability from yarn sourcing through to finished interlinings. This integration enables the issuance of transaction certificates and strengthens transparency across the value chain.
The French location of Lainière de Picardie also brings significant environmental advantages. France benefits from one of the world’s most decarbonised electricity mixes, largely due to its reliance on nuclear energy. As a result, the site operates with a structurally lower carbon intensity, generating reduced CO₂ emissions per linear metre produced compared with many international manufacturing locations.
Sustainability is a core pillar of Chargeurs PCC’s industrial roadmap. At Lainière de Picardie, a major transformation programme launched in 2024 has reshaped production flows and energy systems. Measures include replacing steam-based processes with hot-water technologies, installing faster and more energy-efficient weft insertion warp knitting and fixation machines, and commissioning new washing equipment to reduce both energy and water consumption. These initiatives delivered an 11% reduction in CO₂ emissions in 2024, with further decreases expected once a new boiler becomes fully operational in early 2026.
In parallel, Lainière de Picardie is working closely with suppliers to strengthen the mapping and monitoring of indirect emissions across Scope 3, including supplier purchases, business travel and freight. Supplier data is now being calculated for the vast majority of purchasing value, reinforcing accountability and transparency throughout the supply chain.
At Milano Unica, Chargeurs PCC is presenting a curated selection of interlinings and fabrics produced in France that reflect the expertise and know-how of Lainière de Picardie. For the European market, the group is unveiling a unified catalogue that combines iconic references with French-made innovations, highlighting both its heritage and its advanced technological capabilities.
For the first time, Chargeurs PCC is also bringing together ALUMO and its sister brands Brennet and Eugster & Huber under a single stand in the Shirt Avenue, Hall 20. This unified presence offers visitors a clear overview of the group’s expertise in shirting. ALUMO is presenting its Spring-Summer 2027 collection, demonstrating its long-standing mastery of high-quality cotton and cotton-blend shirting fabrics known for their precision and lightness. Brennet is showcasing durable, high-performance textiles designed for professional and corporate environments, while Eugster & Huber is highlighting refined womenswear fabrics that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern performance.
During the show, Chargeurs PCC is also launching the new ALUMO e-commerce platform, marking a significant step in its digital strategy. Designed to streamline the experience for shirting professionals, the platform allows users to check stock availability in real time, plan volumes, manage deliveries efficiently and access the permanent Sartoria collection of ready-to-use fabrics for retail and bespoke tailoring.
At Milano Unica, Chargeurs PCC is presenting more than a fabric offer. The group is showcasing an integrated industrial vision in which French manufacturing, sustainability commitments, digital innovation and textile expertise come together to meet the evolving expectations of the global fashion industry.
