Yarn Expo Spring 2026 will place a strong spotlight on innovation in synthetic yarns and the growing shift towards eco-friendly fibres, reflecting key developments shaping the global textile industry. The exhibition will take place from 11–13 March 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, bringing together leading Asia-Pacific manufacturers, suppliers and buyers.
The global synthetic yarn market is forecast to reach USD 287 billion by 2030, driven by cost efficiency and broad functional performance across sectors including sportswear, medical textiles and home furnishings. Sustainability is increasingly central to this growth, with rising demand for recycled, bio-based and biodegradable fibres, as well as cleaner, resource-efficient production processes.
Yarn Expo Spring 2026 is expected to host more than 600 exhibitors across 27,000 square metres, offering a comprehensive sourcing platform for next-generation yarns and fibres. The event will support collaboration across the supply chain, helping the industry accelerate its transition towards circular and environmentally responsible solutions.
Sustainability-driven innovation will be reinforced through dedicated fringe programmes, including the Green Fibres Certification Display Area and the Textile Industry New Products Release Forum. These features are designed to highlight emerging fibre technologies, raise awareness of sustainable practices and encourage meaningful connections between suppliers and buyers.
A number of major Asian synthetic fibre producers have already confirmed their participation. Exhibitors will present developments in recycled polyester, advanced nylon and high-performance fibres for activewear, technical textiles and apparel applications, underlining the region’s role in shaping future yarn innovation.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, Yarn Expo Spring will be held alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC and PH Value, creating strong cross-sector synergies and enhanced business opportunities for participants.
