The global Performance Days platform has continued its strong upward trajectory following a record-breaking edition in Munich, with the Functional Fabric Fair powered by Performance Days Fall 2025 in Portland, Oregon attracting equally high levels of industry participation. Organisers report that the strong attendance in both cities demonstrates the growing international relevance of the platform for performance, outdoor and functional textiles.

More than 350 certified exhibitors took part in the Portland event, joined by sourcing, design and product development professionals from leading brands including Adidas, Alo, Arc’teryx, Columbia Sportswear Company, Fabletics, New Balance, Nike, Nordstrom, Patagonia, REI, Rhone and Vuori. Attendance at the fair rose by four percent compared with the previous fall edition, while exhibitor numbers increased by ten percent as the show floor expanded to meet rising demand. A sold-out DAY 0 conference reinforced the appetite for expert insight, education and networking.

Participants highlighted the value of a sourcing environment that unites business opportunity with technical learning and industry-wide exchange. The positive atmosphere mirrored Munich’s earlier success, where the event recorded the highest visitor numbers in its history. Together, both fairs emphasised the new Focus Topic, “Textile-to-Textile Recycling – The Role of Recyclers”, reflecting a global shift towards scalable circular systems and greater transparency in material sourcing. Trend Forum, Innovation Zone, Wool Forum and Cotton Forum installations underlined a shared commitment to sustainable, high-performance textiles.

“Seeing such strong attendance and enthusiasm in Munich and Portland confirms the industry’s continued trust in our global platform,” said Steve McCullough, Event Vice President of Functional Fabric Fair. “This momentum is a clear sign that brands and suppliers are ready to take the next step in innovation and sustainability.”

Attention now turns to the spring edition of Performance Days Munich, scheduled for March 2026, where registrations are already reported to be exceptionally strong and the event is close to selling out.
