Registration is now open for the Fall 2025 edition of Functional Fabric Fair powered by Performance Days, which will take place in Portland this November. The event begins with the Day 0 Sustainability Workshop on 11 November, followed by two days of exhibits and Expert Talks on 12–13 November at the Oregon Convention Center.

“Functional Fabric Fair continues to grow each year as the essential sourcing and education platform for the performance and outdoor textile industry,” said Steve McCullough, Event Vice President. “This fall, attendees will experience more exhibitors, more innovation, and more opportunities to connect with leaders driving the future of sustainable textiles.”

The 2025 edition will spotlight textile-to-textile recycling, focusing on the role of recyclers in creating circular textile systems. With Extended Producer Responsibility regulations advancing worldwide, textile-to-textile recycling is gaining momentum as a solution that maintains material quality while enabling garments to be made from old textiles. Europe is leading developments with new collection mandates, sorting innovations, digital product passports and expanded recycling infrastructure.

Another highlight is the Portland debut of the Future Fabrics Expo Innovation Hub, which will showcase a curated selection of next-generation materials. Alongside this, the exhibit hall will host more than 300 sustainable-certified suppliers presenting functional fabrics, finishes, trims and accessories for Autumn/Winter 2026/2027. Attendees will also benefit from curated sourcing zones, trend forums, live demonstrations, networking opportunities and interactive discovery areas such as the Cotton Forum and Wool Forum.

The Day 0 Sustainability Workshop will be led by Jill Dumain of Fractal CSOs, Todd Copeland of Copeland Consultancy LLC and Kevin Myette of bluesign technologies, featuring pragmatic sessions, real-world case studies, and roundtable discussions shaped by industry feedback.

Functional Fabric Fair is free to attend for verified designers, product developers, purchasing agents, material managers and students in the outdoor, performance and lifestyle apparel sectors. Separate registration is required for the Day 0 Sustainability Workshop, with limited seating available.
