Shima Seiki, the leading Japanese flat knitting technology specialist, will make its debut at the 21st International Expo for Textile, Garment, Printing, Yarn and Fabric Machinery, Technology and Innovations (Saudi Stitch & Tex 2025) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this month. The company will exhibit alongside its regional sales representative, Star Sewing Machines Trading L.L.C., presenting a lineup of advanced knitting machinery and design software.
Among the exhibits is the SWG091N2 compact WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine, capable of producing seamless items without the need for linking or sewing. The model is designed for smaller knit products and accessories such as gloves, socks, hats, scarves, and pet wear, as well as sports and medical applications. The machine will be shown in 15-gauge specification.

Also on display will be the N.SSR112, a computerised flat knitting machine that combines technological innovation with value and reliability. Featuring Shima Seiki’s R2Carriage for faster carriage returns, a moveable sinker system, Digital Stitch Control System, and stitch presser, the model offers efficiency, user-friendliness, and Made-in-Japan quality. Shown in 12 gauge, it also supports WideGauge knitting, enabling multiple gauges within a single garment.

In digital solutions, visitors will experience SDS KnitPaint-Online, a standalone version of the proven KnitPaint software used worldwide to create programming data for Shima Seiki machines. The online edition retains the full suite of KnitPaint functions while adding enhanced planning and design features.
Completing the display will be APEXFiz, the company’s subscription-based design software that supports planning, colour evaluation, realistic fabric simulation, and 3D virtual sampling. Virtual sampling enables accurate digital prototypes that can replace physical samples, reducing time, cost, and waste. Approved designs can be seamlessly converted into machine data for production, digitally connecting design studios with factories and promoting sustainable, demand-driven manufacturing.
Saudi Stitch & Tex 2025 will take place from 17–19 November 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, with Shima Seiki exhibiting at Booth E8.
