Yarn Expo Autumn 2025 reaffirmed its reputation as a premier global sourcing platform, uniting more than 22,000 visitors from 111 countries and regions with nearly 580 exhibitors. Held from 2–4 September 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the fair showcased a comprehensive range of yarns and fibres while championing sustainability and innovation across the textile value chain.
Co-located with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC, and PH Value, the event provided buyers with a complete overview of the market, fostering cross-sector collaboration and dialogue. The exhibition featured a broad product spectrum across six zones and the International Yarn Zone, encompassing natural fibres, innovative synthetics, speciality yarns, and sustainable materials. Highlights included leading exhibitors such as Docotton Group AS (Turkiye), PT Dan Liris (Indonesia), and Rutex GmbH (Germany), whose collections drew strong interest from global buyers.
Further strengthening its international reach, the fair hosted dedicated pavilions from India, Pakistan, and Taiwan, each presenting distinctive regional textile expertise. The concurrent fringe programme, including the Tongkun – China Fibre Fashion Trends Display Zone and the New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Forum, added further value by spotlighting material innovation and market trends.
Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “Each edition of Yarn Expo demonstrates the fair’s ability to bridge markets, connect sustainability-driven solutions with global demand, and promote meaningful exchange. Yarn Expo Autumn 2025 played a crucial role in advancing the textile industry with resilience and creativity.”
Exhibitors and visitors alike praised the event for its business potential and networking opportunities. Perino by Woolyarns (New Zealand) reported strong engagement with new audiences, while Yajur Fibres (India) and Abtex International (Pakistan) highlighted the fair’s global influence and the quality of international buyers. Visitors from the USA, Pakistan, and China noted the fair’s efficiency, diversity, and growing focus on eco-friendly materials.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, Yarn Expo Autumn continues to evolve as a one-stop marketplace connecting the fibre, yarn, apparel, and knitted garment industries. The next edition, Yarn Expo Spring 2026, will take place from 11–13 March 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
