Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics concluded on 13 June 2025, affirming the region’s dynamic role in shaping the future of fashion and textiles. Held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Futian, the event welcomed nearly 40,000 visits from 64 countries and regions. Co-located with Yarn Expo Shenzhen, PH Value and BIRD Fashion Fair, the event offered a comprehensive business platform spanning the entire value chain.
Two new zones were introduced this year: Fashion Gallery, which showcased a broad array of fashion fabrics from casualwear to lingerie, and The Closet, featuring eco-conscious creations from emerging designers and organisations like the Sustainable Fashion Apparel Association and Hong Kong Fur Federation. The fair’s emphasis on innovation and sustainability resonated across product displays, with highlights including enzyme-washed denim, organic recycled materials, and traditional mud silk presented alongside digital design solutions.
Digitalisation took centre stage at the Digital Application Trend Forum, where industry experts explored AI’s role in reshaping garment production, supply chains and testing. At the Intertextile Forum, the theme “Supply Chain Restructuring: Digital Intelligence-Driven Resilient Breakthrough” drew strong engagement, examining how smart technology and collaborative solutions can address current economic and logistical challenges.
More than 650 exhibitors from across China and global textile hubs including France, Italy, Japan, Korea, the UK and the US participated in the event. Delegations from organisations such as the Singapore Fashion Council and Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association engaged directly with suppliers, while brands like Adidas, Zara, Levi’s, Lululemon and ASOS explored innovative sourcing options.
Industry stakeholders praised the fair for its diverse offerings and strategic timing. Exhibitors such as SK TEX and AiDLab highlighted the importance of AI integration in textiles, while the Hong Kong Fur Federation used the platform to educate on ethical fur use. Visitors expressed enthusiasm about the fair’s breadth and quality, citing valuable sourcing opportunities in recycled materials, blended yarns and fashion-forward fabric designs.
Seminar speakers echoed the fair’s relevance, underscoring the transformative impact of digital and AI solutions. Sessions delved into digital fashion, immersive commerce, and sustainable production strategies, reinforcing Intertextile Shenzhen’s position as a critical platform for idea exchange and innovation.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Messe Frankfurt (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Center, Intertextile Shenzhen continues to drive progress across Asia’s textile and apparel sectors.
