The Supervisory Board of the Karl Mayer Group has announced the appointment of Lutz Wolf as the new sole CEO of Karl Mayer Holding SE & Co. KG, effective 1 November 2025. He will succeed Uwe Lüders, who retires after nearly a decade as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and most recently 11 months as Interim CEO.

Wolf, 51, brings over 30 years of international management experience to his new role. Most recently, he served more than four years as CEO of the Neuenhauser Group, where he was responsible for textile machinery, automation, and metal processing. He also led major process optimisation initiatives and strategic developments during his tenure. His career began at Siemens in 1995, where he held management positions in Germany and China, before moving to GEA Group in 2007, gaining further international leadership experience.

Dr Lorenz Zwingmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed appreciation for Lüders’ long-standing contribution and welcomed Wolf’s appointment: “Wolf’s operational depth, strategic foresight, and international management experience are qualities that are key to the ongoing transformation of the Karl MayerGroup.”

Wolf said he was looking forward to the challenge: “With more than 85 years of market experience, Karl Mayer has a long tradition as global market leader in textile machinery manufacturing. We now need cohesion, focus, and speed. I am very much looking forward to my new responsibilities at this very special technology leader with its great potential.”

The new CEO underlined his intention to concentrate on the company’s core business areas: warp knitting machines, technical textiles, and warp preparation for weaving. With a newly strengthened management team, he aims to sharpen performance, align activities with market needs, and pursue results with renewed determination.

Founded over 85 years ago, Karl Mayer remains an innovative market leader in textile machinery manufacturing. The group employs around 2,500 people worldwide and operates across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, supported by a global sales and service network.
