Sustainability & Innovation Awards winners announced

Four innovators recognised by ITMF for sustainable textile achievements.

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has announced the winners of the ITMF Sustainability & Innovation Awards 2025, which recognise outstanding sustainable and forward-thinking projects in the global textile industry. The four winning companies will present their innovations at the ITMF & IAF Conference 2025, taking place from 24–25 October in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, co-hosted by the Indonesia Textile Industry Association (API).

The awards celebrate excellence in innovation, design, development, and production under the highest standards of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The four winners, listed alphabetically, are:

- Archroma (Singapore) – Planet Conscious for a Sustainable Future

- LDZ New Aoshen Spandex Co., Ltd. (China P.R.) – Industrial-scale Production of High-Performance Bio-based Spandex

- Smartex.ai (Portugal) – AI for Textile & Fashion Industry

- Von Holzhausen (USA) – 100% plant-based, high-performance alternative to plastic

The companies represent diverse approaches to advancing sustainability in the textile and apparel value chain, from innovative fibre development and circular materials to artificial intelligence and bio-based design.

The ITMF Sustainability & Innovation Awards continue to highlight the industry’s commitment to responsible growth, encouraging collaboration and the adoption of technologies that minimise environmental impact while enhancing performance and creativity.
